The MLSE has not been concerned with it's teams winning, as long as it fills the seats, and they can market the franchise.
I've never been a leafs fan, and quite honestly my opinion of someone who is actually drops a little bit when i find out. I admire loyalty, but can't quite class that as loyalty, more like blind obedience like a dog, or a simpleton. I'm glad that "fans" are finally doing what they should have done long ago, boycotted games. In places like Montreal it happens a lot quicker ( lets also remember that Montreal only has hockey in the winter to watch, unlike TO).
I think if a NHL franchise made it's way to a center like Hamilton, or Waterloo, you'd see the Leafs go bankrupt.
