Thanks for the comments guys.
One little piece of additional info to head off any tangents. Mono has no firearms bylaws i.e. there are no calibre restrictions and no laws against shooting from a building.

Good on ya. Likely would've spooked had you have opened the door
Thats awesome, good job. Looks like a nice set up you've got there. I had 2 deer in the back yard Sat morn and I live downtown Georgetown. Lol. Had a Yote there as well last month, Unfortunatly the .243's not allowed in town here:(
Well done. That yote was looking for pets and anything else it could grab. What a great looking property, would the boss let you install a clay pigeon launcher off the deck? Just askin......
Careful handling that thing. Could be full of fleas and ticks.
Great job buddy
Nice story..... and good shooting.... beauty of a place too.
She's pretty easy going but I think a pigeon launcher might be pushing my luck. A good friend who is retired has one in his backyard and lives just one concession over and he is always up for some shooting, so no real need.
He's a good friend to have as he re-sizes brass for my 35 Whelen and also loves to tweak loads for anything I shoot. The 308 was shooting his re-loads and had just been tweaked in March for the hog hunting trip my son and I took to Texas. Off the bench using that 308 my son was shooting consistent 1/2 inch 3 shot groups at 100 yards with his loads. Kid's a better shot than I am but I think that has something to do with his steady hands compared to mine that seem to be a little less steady than they used to be.
