Thanks for the heads up. You know it's kind of sad when you pay more to hunt in the province next door than in some southern states.
Actually, the fact that Canadians are viewed as non residents in other provinces and we pay the same as if we were from some other country. Pretty sad...
State/province residency is that standard throughout north America because in both Canada and the states, non-migratory game/birds are managed by the state/province. Ontario's non-res deer license is $240. There are some states with reciprocity agreements - a non-residents license in these states cost varies...its based on your home states non-res license fee, and if your state has that in place as well, you pay a residents fee in the other state. Pretty good way of doing things but waaaay to complicated to implement for the MNR.
Well, I guess I'll just have to buy a chunk of land in Quebec., build a hunting shack and give it an address...
