Have you noticed a difference between skinned and none skinned. We always found they came in quicker with skinned.
Greenhorn if I recall correctly I think it is easier to get a Trappers license and be able to Trap in NB then it is in Ontario. Ever think of getting your trappers license? It's been a long time since I read the regulations and maybe they have changed.
NB is also the only province that if you were born there but no longer live there but own land you can hunt and fish as a residence.
Cool videos - looks like you should have some happy clients.
Thanks every one. I had them skinned before but made a lot of mistakes and they never last more than an hour or two on site. Others I tied with rope and it didn't take them long to chew them off. I offend thought of a bear cage but haven't built one yet. Tie the wire on the Beavers before you freeze them. I have a shed and will thaw before taking them to the bait site. I want a little stink, lol.and will put out a day before the hunt.
I did think about it and study the book to get my class 1 guide license for Bears and fish. My brother has a class 2 guide license and he use to take me out when I came home to hunt.I'm to busy with the Bears to get a trappers license and the guy drops them off at the house.
Well you cant have better then that, Trapping them beavers is a lot of work and pelts is worth nothing.
I know Sterline gave up regular trapping and only works for DOH. All traps are set next to the road, and makes it really easy to put them in the truck. All that hard work is good when your young, but when you become a senior . You body just won't co-operate with your mind . The beaver makes a big difference in the amount of Bears that come to the bait.
So when are you putting the hunt on these bears?
You have many client lined up?
Local guys or...?
My cousin might come out but he wants a small one and I'm almost out of meat so I'll take a bear. Three hunters booked for one week and expect quit a few from Michigan. They been asking me for a few years to take them out.
regardless Oct.31 I dump my freezers and start over for next year.
