I made the upgrade from an Eclipse which on paper is the same as a Micro. Factory 335 fps.

To me, those are the "pluses" and reason for upgrade. The wee gain in fps was just gravy.
Con? Its a little harder to clock. I highly doubt I would clock it in the stand, the Eclipse if I felt I really needed to, I could.
There are limits imo to how much stress the limbs can take, and Excals higher bows are running into them. Who knows, whether or not the new micro will start running into the same problems.

guess its all in the personal preference I can see your point on some of the upgrades as well......I made the switch tot he micro for a few reasons more room in the blind while taking the kids on the outing with me .....as well as I dig the thumbhole stocks and the micro just seem to fit me really well. I loved the phoenix I had to, but def have no desire to get rid of the micro. Dropped a nice big ol freezer doe 4 days into bow season this yr with it and seemed to do the trick. Was easy to maneuver out of a treestand to get a good undetected shot........If I upgrade anything it may be the bolts, but the Easton quills that came with it actually flew and patterned real nice for me, heard others didn't have the same luck.

I have a few buddies who have all upgraded to the micros . one buddy after only having his bow for a month had the limbs on his micro shatter while the other guys have had nothing but good things to say about theirs.
Excalibur are excellent about warranty work but at some point you can exceed the design capacity of the recurve limbs. Time will tell if they have overdone if with the Micros.
I think it's a pretty small percentage overall but Excalibur limb failures are not unheard of. Check this thread for example:Quote:

They have re designed a new front end. Both times his shattered while he left them cocked. Not a dry fire but just when they were left cocked. They are accurate as hell and both times they replaced the limbs at no cost.. Time will tell.Quote:

2016 ATA reps states the micro-355 retails for $1099.00. Are they priced the same or does U.S-Cdn conversion have to be considered?
