Exactly, I said no to every single item in their list. Looks like it created some havoc. I also installed from a USB drive.
Eventually, after a few reboots it downloaded updates and brought everything back to normal. Instead of taking 2 hours, it took a day and a half...lol. Another weird thing is my PDF's are no longer opened by Acrobat but have switched over to Edge.
That's been claimed, but,I don't trust it. I'm still using TrendMicro. There's a whole section for W10 users on their website. www.trendmicro.com
What happened to Turkey Rookie? Now he is an expert on this subject and I would like to hear what he has to say. I'm on Windows 7 and AVG security and am happy. No plans to change for the sake of change.
Turkey Rookie has been on the road working like a mad man. No time for this stuff. When I asked him if ran W10 in his home computer he did not, interpret that however you want.
I love my Linux...so much. every time I hear a Window user crying and whining I give thanks and donate to the project. By the way I run lots of windows native software for my Amateur radio stuff right on the Linux deck top...
Updated a few days ago,and although I am happy with W10, (from W7), I had major problems trying to print from my Lexmark printer, partly because Lexmark is no longer in the inkjet business, so no drivers. It appears that I have it fixed now after an intensive internet search, and then uninstalling my old drivers and printers and then re-installing.
I've been running W10 for a while now with it's own built in virus protection (Defender I believe it's called) without any problems, even with pron sites thrown in the mix.:o
I run Malwarebytes and Crap Cleaner fairly regularly as well. No problemo's!
