Yeah but a cylinder bore is really only good if shot's are less than 20 feet (6.5 yards). I think I would prefer the a full choke. O find most rabbits I have shot were over 20 feet away.

Stoeger would be my pick but the uplander, otherwise some of the 2 3/4 bolt and lever actions are kind cool and good only for lead with a fixed choke.

Yes this stoeger gun is definitely a favorite. I really like the external hammer with double trigger set up. If only that coach gun had the external hammers I wouldn't even think about the Norinco's gun.

If only the coach gun cam in 16 or 20 gauge.

It does, 12, 20 and 410. Cabelas only has the 12 and 410 but perhaps Epps, Sail, Basspro or Flaherty have the 20?

Sorry buddy, I hope that you get out there and pattern a Cylinder bore again, 40% of your pattern inside a 30" circle at 40 yards, Cylinder bore was what I used first for rabbits, at 5 yards you would blow apart a grouse sitting on a stump, trust me, I know.

I still have that gun, patent date 1912, I plan to test the pattern for turkey to determine max range, I will have no problem at 15 yards on a turkey, probably further but yet to be determined.

I'm going to keep that in mind this Spring

Watch and see if one shows up on Canadian Gunnutz, I look for either the CZ Mallard or Stoeger Uplander once a week and sometimes see the coach gun and THINK (didn't pay close attention actually so I may be wrong) I saw one not that long ago.

CZ has a double with hammers in 12 (and 20 as a FYI)
