Any possible long term side effects using Peremethrin?

You might want to read the MSDS sheet on this product especially the part where it says not to get it on your skin.
The Grand View Outdoors website just had a major article (excerpt below) posted on it about tick problems.
Lyme gets all the news, but there is another disease that the tics carry called Powassan Virus that is even worse that Lyme disease.
Powassan attacks its victims head on — literally, in the brain, causing it to swell. It’s deadly in about 10 percent of the cases that are recorded,
and if you are able to recover, there’s a 50 percent chance that you’ll have permanent neurological damage.
According to a release by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health(MDPH), symptoms usually start becoming noticeable one week to one month after the bite of an infected tick.
Use bug sprays, and check everyone carefully after each outing!!
The 10 percent fatality rate and the 50% brain damage rate only apply to the patients that develop encephalitis as a complication. Most cases are asymptomatic or present similar to a mild flu and in these cases the quoted fatality and brain damage rates do not apply. Additionally the mild cases do not get reported or tested for as they resolve on their own without medical treatment and hence the stats are misleading. Since it is a viral pathogen if you contract it and are one of the vast majority who have no complications than you are immune for life similar to West Nile Virus.
That said it is obviously still wise to take precautions to prevent tick bites in the first place. But if you get bit the odds of contracting a serious case of Powassan are pretty low.
Permethrin, sold under the brand name Nix among others, is a medication and insecticide.[1][2] As a medication it is used to treat scabies and lice.[3] It is applied to the skin as a cream or lotion.[1] As an insecticide it can be sprayed on clothing or mosquito nets such that the insects that touch them die.[2]
Side effects include rash and irritation at the area of use.[3] Use during pregnancy appears to be safe. It is approved for use in people over the age of two months. Permethrin is in pyrethroid family of medications. It works by disrupting the function of the neurons of lice and scabies.[1]
Permethrin was discovered in 1973.[4] It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system.[5] The wholesale cost in the developing world is about 0.02 to 0.06 USD per gram.[6] In the United States a course of treatment costs 25 to 50 USD and it is available over the counter.[7]
Is permethrin likely to contribute to the development of cancer?
[COLOR=#000000]Permethrin was classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as "not classifiable as to its carcinogenicity to humans" in 1991. This means that IARC could not decide whether or not permethrin can cause cancer. The U.S. EPA decided that permethrin was "likely to be carcinogenic to humans" if it was eaten. This decision was based on the structure of permethrin, what happens to it in the body, laboratory tests that caused tumors in mice and evidence of tumors in rats.

She uses a vet spray, I have used a higher concentration and watered it down in a spray water bottle I also found that taking 300mg of B1 in the morning and evening seems to inhibit them too.
