I agree that $250 would be a fair price. It would be my limit. I love the 37. Sold a 12 and a 20 years ago and now that my boys are starting to hunt, I regret it. Ended up buying a Mossberg 500 Bantam in 20 for my oldest, but the 37 in 20 would have been perfect. 16 gauge is making a come back IMO, but I agree that reloading is the way to go if you get it.
Everyone and their brother is selling a used 37.
These are a dime a dozen.

He was asking 300.00, but it has been posted for a long time so I was going to offer 200 and be willing to go to 250.00, it's for sale in Ottawa so no shipping costs either which would be around 50 bucks.
If you see a decent 16 pump modified choke let me know.

Same here, ended up with an 870 Express from 2006, it is built on a 12ga frame so not as light as a 16 should be but I can shoot steel with it for ducks :DQuote:

the gun would be a cool piece to have but ammo is going to be tough to find unless you order it in. at that price range I would look for a VG good used 1970's Wingmaster in 12 if you are looking for a primary gun. absolutely your call though
16ga is coming back, American gun makers are starting to make 16ga guns again, at least I hope that continues.Quote:

A 16ga. Mod 37 is a very nice gun. It's a bargain at $250 if it's in good to very good condition. There is one on cgn with an IC choke which would let you shoot #4 steel quite easily.
Go to the 16ga.com site. They will guide you in the right direction.
There are at least 2 16ga crazy people quite local to greatwhite as well, ha ha, lots of ammo found at gun shows too and most can be proven factory (CIL, Imperial have sealed crimp) but you have to beat the other 2 of us to it, ha ha.Quote:
