Yes... how does one get charged with "improper storage" when transporting a firearm?

What would improper storage of a crossbow be while traveling in a vehicle? Only thing I can think of it was cocked with a bolt loaded.
After dark it could have been failure to encase the firearm or crossbow.
Maybe just a poorly worded article but "not encased" is not the same thing as "storage".

Mobile units for "pop up" checkpoints are the way to go for maximum impact on violators. Hopefully, this was one of those to "show the flag" and spread the word. OPP were at our camp for the first time in a few years. When I asked about where the CO's were, they said they were deployed to a different area and "we're taking up the slack". They also shared that five Moose had been seized from mistaken gender identification from rookie hunters and many charges were laid in our general area since the season began in WMU50. That was rather discouraging. Hopefully, the weather changes drastically for the Deer hunt. Hunting Moose in shirt sleeves and shorts battling black flies and skeeters ain't my idea of a good time.
You need to be able to supply the ownership for an ATV on a trailer but you do not need to provide insurance documents unless you are driving it in a public space.
