i have a surplus tag for doe only and archery. i will not being going back to my honey hole for the reasons you stated as i want to try and keep the place healthy (and im' not the only person hunting this area). i'm going to go out and find newer/ check on older areas to see what turns up. if i get one, great. if not, whatever.
you stated your area is ~ 3 sq.km ? i wouldn't be too upset taking a single doe out of 700+ acres... but then again it's not my backyard
