You'd have to be a fool to believe the Liberals and all the rest of the global warming alarmists that think a carbon tax is going to have any effect on natural climate change. So many of their dire predictions have already been proven wrong as well as all the false data they used to try and scare the foolish. Anyone with a lick of common sense can see that it's nothing but a scam to bring in billions of dollars on the backs of regular folks.

I really wasn't going to get into it but has anyone realized it's only been getting warmer since the last ice age . Will start to cool down heading to the next one no thanks to the liberal taxes.

Most oak species have a life span of a few hundred years so those are still very young trees that you have dying off. I'd put my finger on some pest that you have.

Not all oak trees live long lives. Three years ago we had a massive crop of deer the last two years there was very few acorns.
Lots of bugs will get into them.

It's not natural for younger trees to go from lush and apparently healthy to stone dead and rotting in that short a time. 50 years is young for an oak... any oak.
I'm putting my monew on an invasive bug and or disease... the new weather patterns can't help either.

We in Canada are the biggest users of fossil fuels,that is a fact.Burning fossil fuels at the rate we have been doing Worldwide has an effect.When you turn on your telly and see hurricanes,tropical storms,ice caps,glaciers melting at such a rapid rate does it not cause you to ponder.Do you think Mr Harper being in bed with oil companies was for your benefit.Some people will probably have to see the roof blow of their home for the penny to drop.

Getting back to the OP,lake levels this year at their highest on the lake I use,large numbers of healthy trees toppled over in the bush because of the saturated soil and very high winds, some swamps a year ago that were bone dry now flooded.Beech tree,s diseased and dead.

The Liberals do not control the Worldwide community of scientists who have evidence of all this,I think I will believe them as opposed to naysayers on here who are no doubt Trump supporters as well.LOL

I've noticed this in several woods I've hunted locally (essex county ) and in middlesex and lambton. These are trees I've had stands near or in and have observed them over years and known them to be alive and vibrant.
I'm looking through the woods and seeing alot of dead trees where 5-10 years ago this wasn't the case at all.

Edit to add-I know it's fall and trees look dead but these trees are dead/dying. Bark falling off and branches breaking and/or woodpeckers and bugs starting. Among other decay signs.

If you can provide pictures I can send them to a good contact I have at a local University for a more educated opinion, pics mid to late summer would be best. I myself grow some varieties and my contact is very good at helping me solve problems with the oaks.
