Walmart has a brush similar to the fermanator but much less $. This dog looks more like a golden than shepard. I use the fermanator on mine with good success. You must remember when it is shedding season you can never seem to get all the shedding to stop.

And take the dog with you so the people there can see the dog's coat. You can always ask the grooming department as well.Quote:

I use a rake but that's for my setter when he comes back with burrs or similar sticky weeds. The rake works well - again for my application rather than for coat maintenance. Don't need to do anything for my setter otherwise. Perhaps you should consider a setter?!?!? :)
