Anything related to laws or censorship in the firearms section should just be posted in the politics section.
I agree with you Bushmoose. I miss Cal Tek. Seems there is no administrator involved now, so why should the 2 mods care.
I'm not claiming innocence, I've antagonized a few and threw a few jabs back n forth over the last few years. It's not hard for a person to get caught up in the nonsense that goes on? But it seems like this site is almost dead these days? It's the same old, same old..... We used to see people posting pics of their boats? Their ATV's? Discussing their camping/fishing trips? Looking for gadget ideas and sharing stories? There were fellas asking for "how to" ideas on a variety of subjects? Not anymore it seems? I wish the lawyers n politician wannabe's would just give it a rest? Put your efforts to actually doing something constructive on your parties behalf, instead of belly aching on here repeatedly? You know who you are, so beat it for a while? let this site have a chance to come back to what it is intended for.
I just didn't think he was looking far enough in the future. :-)
Anyway, as much as I would like to load a shuttle up and send alot of the politicians (all 3 parties...Greens so far as I have seen it all not some) off on the next Mars mission it isn't reality. Even in the thread I started to find out if someone was doing something more than bang-bang and repeat with the 7.62x39 and that then continued on to picking some brains about reloading (an interest I have no time for and no place to test), when I mentioned that the gov't was talking about reducing or eliminating lead in ammunition (as well as fishing gear) someone made a comment about Climate Barbie. I concurred and asked more and the last post in tha thread (until I have more time and another question comes up) was someone that was a troll (only contribution to the thread was to say he was voting for Wynne...).
There are alot of strong emotions, with just reasons,
the current media seems to have
- no issue with partial and "relaitive" facts,
- then there are US paid groups attacking our industries, helping the Liberal's with outright lies (post a link to the facts and you are blocked from posting) and funded by Tides and other organizations from the US,
- politicians that won't answer questions, up taxes and seem to be trying to sabotage Canada......
- open discrimination, for example refusing funding to those that don't agree murdering the unborn child is OK.
Tactics, equipment, gear (think 25 and 32 cal hand guns) ... all can be changed on the whim of a politician, or "experts" at RCMP (Ruger mags) and with the huge funding of political groups with attacks by funded by those like the Tides group ( I watched on BNN today actually where they interviewed a woman researched and that pointed out the Tides and other groups are funded by some of the uber rich to the tune of $8B a year for their agenda). They were talking about how following the money that many Indian groups were getting was anti-pipeline funding and following the money lead to Tides again, Canadian groups ereceived millions that has no accountability on their political spending and they can spend it on political attacks with no accountability to truth (LeadNow spent millions to get Justlied elected) and we can go on and on is what I was trying to say.
Want to use lead split shot ..... maybe not?

the laws created by the politicians invade everything ...if you even need to defend yourself... not in Canada, curl up and cry is all that is allowed.
After Wynne won last time within 3 days one of our biggest customers CIO informed us that he was exiting the province... since then dreams of a better boat, more retirement savings and vacations have been designated as dead.
In the UK they are trying to eliminate kitchen knives and you can't count the lies on the media, web etc. ... people buy the junk out of ignorance or they get piss**.
Even the parties themselves ... for example... Liberal party of Canada... lying....

and from before.

"repeal changes made by Bill C-42 that allow restricted and prohibited weapons to be freely transported without a permit, and we will put decision-making about weapons restrictions back in the hands of police, not politicians;"
When ideologues with the power want to get into every part of our lives and change to THEIR standard it will come up again and again.... they view themselves as the "better animals" and we end up with ....
“A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims... but accomplices” - George Orwell
Forgive my rant and ramble but I an too tired to go back and clean it up ...
Summary
politics screws up most thing.
most things are affected by political decisions
vote out ideologues and corrupt ... and hope the new ones can do better.
Agreed Bushmoose.
An interesting post in Firearms was completely derailed by a select few posting full page arguments back and forth, and the arguments became less and less relevant as it went on.
One of them appears not to be getting the message. Maybe a character limit on posts would keep it reasonable.
I agree with bush moose. It does seem that any post someone makes gets flack for leaning left or right and it goes off on a tangent from there. Sure the politics in this country and province are a bit out of wack but any section other than the political one should be just for discussion of our hunting and fishing passions. Free of attacks from others due to inexperience or difference of opinion on their preference.
