I've got the little f@&%*er 3 times on camera and once visually. Each time I've told the owner to keep her cat at home and not let it wonder my property. Here's the problem. My old dog is pretty much crippled in his back end. He's having a hard time getting around and it's only a matter of maybe a few more months? Unfortunately, he doesnt realize that he's crippled? He will literally run till his legs give out and then he will drag himself still trying? Seen him do it and it breaks my heart. I've told the cat owner that if he hurts himself trying to get the cat, I will take over where he left off. End of story! She doesnt get it apparently, so I'll have to look after it myself. Live trap is set with sardines.......

Interestingly enough, I have pics of a fox from the cam I have here at the cabin. They eat cats to I believe?

There is a fisher living under my neighbours shed so there are not any cats around.

So the question is do you take the cat to the Martin or the Martin to the cat? And no I am sorry to say that Foxes in North America are general not big enough to handle a cat. Foxes in the UK take sheep and would take a cat too,

The trapper who used to have a registered trapline in our area gave it up when he retired 4 years ago and no one picked it up. Now,we,too,have a family of Fishers (among other predators) that are absolute murder on stray cats. Now,if we could just get rid of the damn Coyotes that keep everyone awake some nights.............

Bushmoose, you can also by spray to keep animals away. my comment to my neighbor when her cat came to crap in our yard every day was , do you see my children crapping in your backyard, NO, then I should not have to put up with your cat crapping in our garden. Told her if it was in my backyard again it would be trapped and taken away. her comment to me was it is a cat, what do you expect.

just print a few these for the backyard..

If you maybe try hosing the cat while in your backyard-mildly ,but with a message....cats hate water,they may associate your backyard with bad experience?
Just do so carefully ,so you are not going to be nailed with animal cruelty.........never know.


Ps-I love cats,but i understand your frustration ,and the violation of your property rights.
Plus this cat story will make you and the neighbor bitter enemies ,at no fault of your own.
