White dude in black neighborhood, gets carded. Black dude in white neighborhood gets carded. Guy wearing nice three piece suit in walmart. Guy wearing Camo in tiffany's. Is it profiling or just noticing something out of place?

Carding means to talk to and check ID's.

If you are working the street in a 90% black neighborhood, your going to be talking to a lot of black people.

If you are working the street in a 90% Hispanic neighborhood, your going to be talking to a lot of Hispanics.

One leads to another ie: profiling to ask questions leads to carding with that info recorded. It used to be a police officer could strike up a conversation with certain individuals and it was seen as good police work. Unfortunately,in this liberal politically correct society,that's not allowed.

Just have a tail light or license plate marker out on a car or trailer at night or drift over the white line a couple of times. Guaranteed you'll get stopped. Courts in Canada have ruled that police can't arbitrarily stop a vehicle,so,any reason to stop must be legit. Our rules also dictate that we must identify ourselves to a police officer when requested to do so with name,date of birth and address,but,that's it. He/she may ask any questions they want,but,we have the right not to answer if we wish.

As the article said, the officers will be assigned to a area for 4 years, I wonder how long this will last before some start hollering that they are being harassed by the constant presence of police officers walking the beat in their area ?
