You can’t blame the MNRF for the “unregulated” hunting. Blame the government and the courts !!

Without First Nation people included in a ban on hunting for a number of years, there will be no change. Increasing the number of predator tags and making them cheaper or free, would also help. Once Moose hunting is resumed, it should be bull tags only and the populations monitored until numbers improve.
Yeah it's not really fair when they are taking 20 or 30 a year per group. Yet the rest of the population of hunters take the brunt end. Groups spending thousands for a small chance at a moose. Yet they can take where ever and what ever they see them. .

Allowing a calf to be taken on a license each year makes no sense to me. Protecting coyotes miles away from known Algonquin wolf range does not help.Allowing the bear population to increase over the years of the ban did not help and I am not to sure if I want to help the MNR or government rectify their past mistakes.
Right now for WMU 60 for last year bull you needed 15 hunters to get a chance at a tag, something like 4% chance of drawing a individual tag.Deer this year is 63% for a doe tag and has been pretty consistent at this level for years,I have not drawn one in the
last 5 years.
