They are a dying breed and if they dont evolve they will die off soon. There is only so many of them left they can't live forever without some insest happening then that will really mess them up.

Around where I am there is already nothing left they cannot date their own as they are all family. Something must give soon or there wont be many around in 100 years. If they want to continue to live the way they are they won't last.

As far as I'm concerned they make enough to buy the land if they want it then buy it.

Name me one society that did not at one point go to war with another and displace them? The First Nations are well known to have been warriors who attacked neighboring tribes. They were also nomadic and moved around North America quite a bit. Does that mean they have claim to all the land they walked on? These treaties were signed generations ago and they now don’t want to live by them. $9 billion ??????

How many still live in teepees without hydro or water or anything motorized? What they want is to live with all the luxuries we have created, and live for free. Theres no fn alive today the faught off the yanks, so the fn that are here have nothing to claim IMO.

Just go live in the reserve for a week with them ,
ask them for their problems ....
Ask them Why ... did they not secede to integrate to this society ...?

The last time I visited friends on the "res",no one was being held against their will. Just sayin...........

Sorry but there's no gatekeeper or lock on the gate. Get with the program and evolve. Living inthe stone age passed a long time ago. Who says FN didn't displace others before them just because it isn't written anywhere. I know quite a few FN members who have done well for themselves and families, others just sit and wait for handouts.

I was taken from my family when I was seven, and sent to boarding school. Do you want to talk about it? Maybe you would like to talk about a Catholic nun that took too great of an interest in making sure the dirty little Indian boys washed their parts..

How about how families would send money for the children, but it always ended up in the office "for safe keeping". So safe it never was seen again by the kids.
