exactly what they find every time they run one of these highly costly 'fell good' Political Photo ops. ...............

Not when you factor $300.00 driving down from Capreol to Toronto in gas and then the nice officer at HQ telling you its a Toronto Program and you do not qualify and you then spend another $300.00 in gas getting back. LOL But not a bad way to get your guns out for some fresh air.
Oh ok, finally had a chance to watch it, so essentially this is a total BS tax on the taxpayer, paying legal owners for crap guns, as long as they go bang they are good.
Again, another thing that will do nothing to stop any illegal firearms use in the city of Toronto but let the people feel all warm and fuzzy for things they do not understand, you included.
Great idea! I've got a couple old beaters here also. We should get together and do a carpool down there. maybe pick up a couple more takers to spread the cost of gas? I'm sure Gilroy will put us up for the night, feed us breakfast, then we go get our cash and hightail it back home?
Don,t worry about overnight accommodation I still have contacts on the job and we can probably get you a nice cell or adjoining cell,s for the night. We are still
supplying Mc Donalds and a coffee from petty cash so your food is looked after. Not to sure how you guys are going to fit in with the rest of Her Majesty,s Guests.LOL
This is awesome. Is there a torontonian among us that wants to turn in all of our beater guns?
Do you think they'd be suspicious if someone showed up with a moving van loaded to the roof with old beaters?
I'm not above taking money from Toronto ;)
The concept is pretty simple, prevention being one of its aims. Some old gun collector who has a bunch of handguns lying around his home available for a theft.
They become potential crime guns once stolen.Get them off the old guy,pay him some money, bunch more guns off the street.
If you had ever worked on a homicide and the costs involved in trying to solve these crimes you might then understand. The Jane Creba case in Toronto probably cost several million dollars for investigation and court costs.Multiply this one case scores of times for our street homicides and wounding,s and you will get the big picture.
Unfortunately it doesn't work like that... you must be within the Toronto jurisdiction so officers can pick up directly from your house. No drop offs.
