I don't think there's any reason to get yer knickers in a knot? Obviously you have a well beaten trail leading to your bait and people, like some animals, will take the easiest path. With the amount of foliage still on the trees, no one would see your bait until they come up on it. If you're on crown land there is virtually nothing you can do about it anyway.
If you’ve spent 50 plus hours on stand already and this bear hasn’t shown yet could it be possible he’s been gone for a while now and this is just an opportunity to vent about it??
Last time he came was friday and i missed him once already and we shot 2 so far...there is more than one.
Then I really think you’ll be ok. Bears have been killed, you’ve left tons of scent around there already and you’ve educated them that they are being hunted. If they have been coming back after all of that then I doubt two more guys walking through are going to ruin your season. Just keep at it. Again you hunt public land. They didn’t do anything wrong. Including not damaging any of your property. If you didn’t have a camera out you would have never known they were there and you would still have peace of mind.
very true
Thanks for the replies and hoppfully it works out anyways
If You hunt crown and this bothers You,the only way to avoid spending 50 hrs on a bait and not being found is-go deeper,go to the hard to reach spots,go canoe.......Where You can easily walk, anyone will walk given circumstances.
