Good job and great persistence
Looks like a good sized one for a female. I think using a .243 is a good thing. I might bump up bullet weight though. Well done on thinning them out.
Thanks for the sentiments and comments folks.
Anyone using the 75 grain V-max in a 243? I'm thinking Terry has offered some good advice.

Dont think you find any fur friendly round in Vmax for .243. I'd go 80-100g soft point and try not to hit major bone. If you hit shoulder with almost any .243 round your going to see big holes.

Sounds about right fellas. It's a trade off I guess. I feel a lot better about using the more frangible V-Max than a heavier soft point. As you can see in the first pic, that barn in the distance on the hill shows you how close some of these spots are to farms and homes. I like knowing the bullet isn't going to ricochet to the next concession after it hits something.
Since my priority is helping out the landowner, I think I'll stick to the same ammo and learn to sew...

Good shooting!
I’ve used the 75 Vmax. It makes a mess. 87 Vmax makes more of a mess.
58 Vmax with a regular bread basked hit will not exit.
I would keep using them and don’t be discouraged by this one.
I am no fan of bullets that are not frangible when hunting for yotes in farm country due to the extremely high probability of ricochets from simple frozen ground.
My two cents.
