He showed me decades ago that the very best bait station was a Coleman stove,iron skillet with bacon and eggs, a pot of beans and a coffee pot cooking breakfast at least an hour before first light,then,leave the pan on the stove "to cool" while he set up his watch 50 yds away. If there was a Bear within a couple of miles of smelling that,they were there within a couple of hours.
