What gear / equipment do u carry on your atv

As for your question about "don't you need a Winch to use a snatch block?"
NO! I just need a rope. The longer the rope the better. The longer the rope the easier it will be for me be cause of two things.
1) The longer the rope the farther I can reach an anchor point.
2) The longer the rope the more snatch blocks I can use in the system..

I've got to add this also to my original response. The area around my cabin is made up of farm land, several lakes and bush. It's not remote per se, although it would make for a long walk if broke down or stuck and there is cell service available. I don't worry too much about striking off to my hunting areas, all within a couple of miles. The gear I listed is what comes with me when I'm out in the boonies heading to a few back lakes fishing. Most important for me when I do, is the buddy system. I don't head out alone. My fishing partner and I rely on each other for safety when venturing on these forays. Depending on where we decide to go, it could be as far as 20 miles from our truck, and no cell service. Broke down in that situation by yourself could be serious.

No problem. I was out playing with the toy today. Things were fun, Great.......Till the last Half Mile. Seven hours of winch and strap work to go a half a mile. :scream:

Anyone who strikes out alone into the woods should learn how to build a flip flop winch. The flip flop is quite simple to put together out of chunks of wood and has yanked me out of some situations where otherwise, it would have been a long walk back.

A hand bow saw, tree strap and a first aid kit on top of the many mentioned things.
And if your ATV is belt driven a spare belt.
And spare spark plugs.
