Why is it when someone does go through the ice somewhere on some body of water the general response from the outdoors community is how much of an idiot the person is? anyone who chooses to ice fish, or go on the ice is taking a chance, regardless of the mode of transport. It potentially makes us all idiots doesn't it? Dont get me wrong, some people do completely dumb things, but in most cases its just a guy trying to go fishing. Maybe I'm off a bit, but my immediate response when I read about a person who went through the ice I think, Jesus, I hope he is ok, that really sucks. It isn't "what a dummy, naturual selection."
