Seresto works wonders
Well I was asking because I was finding ticks on my Brit when we were out in early April. I don't run her in the woods later in the spring while grouse and turkeys are nesting, but I do cut wood and turkey hunt, and found an engorged tick on my back shortly after my original post. My local public health office (Halton Region) has a tick reporting and testing program, that is shut down due to Covid, so I did a preventative 14 day course of doxycycline, and haven't had any symptoms of Lyme. Since then I have sprayed all my turkey hunting outerwear with Permethrin 5.0% w/w diluted to 0.5% (I bought BOSS Pour On cattle insecticide at TSC, diluted with distilled water and sprayed it on and let dry) - haven't had a tick since, fingers crossed. Two ticks tested positive for Lyme during last years tick drag that Halton region did on my neighbours farm, so I am not taking any more chances.
Is that product “over the counter” at TSC or do you need a permit?
I bought it without a permit. They keep it in a locked cabinet at my store.
Ticks are horrible down here this year 2020 seems to want to kill us one way or another
Think it’s time for some guinea hens
