X2, no kidding, make It worthwhile to open a claim
I can’t imagine trying to get rid of the smell afterwards if you put it out.
It’s also very dangerous, a tire that explodes can kill you.

The old google machine will help. I have several done every year for work and my own personal use.

I agree with this I think.
I have a friend who does this as a side gig. Whenever I ask him to recharge anything smaller then 20lbs (for personal use) he just pulls a "throwaway" out of the truck and hands it to me and gets rid of the older one. They are perfectly fine but the companies he deals with replace them anyways.
Everything I have is insured where required If it burns down and nobody is hurt I could care less. If my house burns tomorrow I could care less.
Same here ; insurance is a necessary evil . If the fire didn't destroy my car for sure it was a write off after the firemen got through with it. LoL ! At least the insurance company reimbursed me for two small fire extinguishers that neighbours gave me to use which I felt obligated to replace. Had to really brow beat the company but they conceded in the end.
I have mine recertified for less than $10 every year as they have to have a current year tag on the extinguisher. I have been checked while on the water and it was the first thing they checked, I was wearing my life jacket
I put an engine fire out on my outboard 10 years ago, it was use the extinguisher or jump over board
