But it objectively has not been peaceful. There have been incidents of violence.

Is this actually what you believe?
Thousands of people. No litter, spray paint, burning of buildings, looting, stabbings, shootings, toppling of statues, etc. All these things would just be a good day in the average BLM or left-wing 'protest'...which our PM openly admitted to supporting in his pathetic press conference earlier.
Millions of people across the country and throughout the world are behind this cause of Canadians finally taking a stand against tyrannical government overreach.
You are either:
1) pro-freedom for all Canadians
2) pro-tyranny and endless mandates that have been proven be anything but scientific or effective
It's not that difficult.
Some drunk guy urinating in public, someone draping a Canadian flag over a Terry Fox statue, or a paid actor with his face covered and a brand new confederate flag with visible creases who just happens to be photographed by Adam Scotti (Trudeau's personal photographer). This is your big smoking gun used to discredit thousands of peaceful Canadians?
Politicians and journalists are now trying to seize the Gofundme donations. Anyone remember when they tried to stop BLM donations?
Pay attention.
So a group saying they want the government changed because the government is wrong and the protest group is right but the protest group can't even self police.
You either have an organized front with a clear singular purpose or you're a mob holding a city sector hostage. If you want to be taken seriously you have to take yourself seriously. Clearly there is no issues with racism and assault. I have yet to see a statement from the event organizer condemning the acts of violence and committing to work g with police to keep this "protest" non violent.
You wanna see a non violent protest? Hop into your time machine and dial it back to any year this century before 2018. Head on down to parliament hill on any given April 20th the whole gosh darn parliament property was covered in peaceful people peacefully protesting. They had organizers and Port-a-potties brought it and permits were acquired.
This has been three days of a "protest" with no permit no planning and no supporting infrastructure. Sporadic violence starting at 11:30 Friday morning.
Offcourse, I could also look at and compare to many recent protests :

More the half are "The toppling occurred during ______ protest" (insert the lefty cause )

I think it could be argued that the mandates were scientific and were effective. Notice I said were. I think the use of the word “tyranny” is mainly emotionally driven. I don’t think any democratic government purposely tries to hold back its citizens. One must remember this was an unknown virus with unknown consequences. Perceived appropriate measures were taken with the available data. We shouldn’t forget how this all started, or how other countries without mandates or vaccinations fared. It’s also good to remember this was a global event, not just Canada specific. We need so stop playing victims of this situation and accept it as an anomaly. Then get back at it. I’m optimistic that certain wrongs will be righted.
