I'm selling a used coyote decoy. I bought it second hand but only used it once and don't have much use for it anymore. It seemed to work well as I was able to call in a coyote but couldn't manage to get a shot off as he was out of bow range. If anyone is interested in it, PM me!

Wanted to ask ure view on hunting coyotes on crown land over smaller frozen lakes ?
seems to be the best open space I can find on crown.
Sounds like a good idea to me.......make sure the wind is in your favour on the way to and during the set..... Getting in quiet (undetected) is key.... If you can, try setting up about 150-200 yds away from where you expect a coyote to come out from..... If that is not an option, go out and try it anyway.Quote:

The biggest factor of all is playing the wind...and it starts even before you pull the gun out of the safe.... If it's a wrong wind.... don't go, you can do more harm than good... Get in there quietly, settle in and scream as loud as you can with a nice hand call.... If they are around and you did not tip them off during your entry, there is a good chance their curiosity will get the better of them...
