To match what you mentioned above with a Bell ExressVu package would cost you $135 a month (on sale now for $110) so about the same financially, but your back to watching ads and commercials and scheduled programming.

I've just entered the world of 'paid' for streaming video after years of FREE TV with an Android Box. So far the best we found is Prime Video as I also shop a lot on Amazon and use the free shipping. We started with NetFlix last year and I've gotten tired of spending 30 minutes trying to find something to watch. Lots of garbage on it...then when you pick one that sounds good it turns out to be a foreign film with subtitles. HaHa.

My daughter dumped Crave after the initial FREE trial. She says it was the worst she has come across....and she's been streaming for years.

Last week she suggested we use 'TubiTv' from FOX. Free but with ads, which she says are minimal and apparently they are coming our with paid for subscription service (ad free).

Our internet package is $100/month. Compared to what I paid Rogers and Bell that's money in our pocket every month. Quite a bit. We get 500 gig/month and have never come close to exceeding that. We don't watch a ton of tv. If there is a down side, it's that occasionally service is spotty due to weather and 25 down while it works just fine, once in a blue moon it has to buffer.

Our bundle of streaming. Cost us $30/month including Prime( I checked last night). So for $120-130/month.....We have all we need and we aren't paying for a stupid amount of channels we never watch and crap programing. Good luck paying less than $200/month (all in) for Rogers or Bell, even with basic packages. And for what it's worth, our internet goes down less than it did with both when I lived in Whitby.

Ahhhhhh the paradox of choice. I'm not as old as some on here at 45, but I can still remember having to watch what was on, and having to wait for the shows you wanted to watch.

The problem now is that being able to watch what we want, when we want, we're just unable to choose.

You have a choice between Alaska Bushed People and some other idiotic lack of reality show I too would rather watch Star Trek.

HAHHAA, I was watching the original Start Trek on Satellite for 2 nights...commercials are so annoying.

Trick is to split those between several households ;-)

LOL, i turn on regular TV to fall asleep to be honest hahha. i just download all the stuff i wanna watch.

only thing i use regular TV for is Formula 1 on Saturdays and Sundays.

I have Bell at the cottage and Rogers at home. Except for the Golf channel they are basic packages I can find way more shows that I am interested in with Rogers at home. And it’s more reliable as Bell satellite up north can cut out often, if inclement weather is present . I never watch commercials as I PVR the show and just start watching it 12 minutes later than the start time. FF through the commercials and you have the show in 20 minutes.

Why not use Bell at home too? I believe you can have about 6 receivers on one account.
