E Bikes and hunting - anyone tried it?

What are these e bikes like to manually peddle in the chance that you're back in the boonies and you run out of power? I'd imagine they'd be a pig due to the wide tire and the bike weight?

They aren't bad to peddle without the battery - once you get 'em going they float along pretty good. I just keep an eye on the battery level and treat it like a gas tank. Unlike fuel, if you run out of battery, you can peddle it. If you eat beans, you might get a few extra KPH on bumpy roads....
