What effect will the so-called 'PPC surge' mean

Well your going to get it worse with Trudeau back, [since nobody is going to want to trigger an election, Trudeau even with a minority can rule like a majority.

PPC voters got their wish to keep Trudeau in power.

In my mind you have it absolutely backwards. But I guess that is why we all get our own vote

At least when we are stuck with Trudeau for another 4 years during which we lose all of our guns I’ll know I did all I could do. Sadly it just isn’t enough

Wars are won not through our beliefs and ideologies ... but through tactics. Sometimes those tactics will have you doing something that you would otherwise not do, in order to get you a step closer to winning your war. I can confidently say, any person voting for the PPC instead of the CPC ... is not seeing the whole picture. The PPC will not feature in ANY discussion in parliament ... all the things they stand for right now and yours or others support for them ... it is purely symbolic, but it is like waving a butter knife at your enemy that holds a cannon against your head ... futile at best.

In this case, Max and the PPC must drop their pride, and work with the CPC together, so their voices can be heard. It will only happen via a partnership with the CPC ... the other parties are WAAAAAAAAAYYYY too far left to every give a rats about the PPC.

This is about strategy, not ideologies ... you will be buried with your ideologies, and no one will remember any of it. This is not an insult in any manner ... I respect you and your views. But I don't think people are making a smart choice, for the better good, choosing between (if you call it this) ... the better of two evils.

I would say the WAAAAYYYY too far left parties do care about the PPC..... more votes for PPC means less votes for the one party that has the potential to oppose them.

Heard a rumor the other day that Trudeau is supposedly providing funding to the PPC party. Any way to confirm this? Pretty smart if you ask me and it appears to be working

Seems like some are jumping on the division train here, saying your vote is useless unless you do it my way.
The main party that many seem to want out, on this site anyhoo is the Liberals. A vote for any other party is a vote against them. You should vote for the party or actually the candidate for your area you believe in, not the 1 that might have the best chance of unseating a disliked incumbent and then WAITING ANOTHER 4 YEARS to try again to get the 1 you really want in.
With this kind of political thinking it is almost like saying you prefer brown shirts over gestapo because they might not be as cruel, or being a part of the French resistance or the underground railroad is useless because someone else will do something about the problem if you bury your head far enough in the sand for long enough.
The time for action is during this election not the next one down the road. Get out and make your vote count.

35% vote in a riding for Liberals.
27% vote for CPC
10% vote for PPC

Liberals win.

On the other hand...

35% liberals
37% CPC (with the PPC voter support)

CPC wins.

Simple math ... and the only assumption is the PPC voter, if forced to choose another party would highly likely not vote for Liberals, but rather choose CPC, given the origins of the PPC.

Given the origins of the PPC this CPC supporter wouldn't support a party where the leader wasn't elected, it was founded because of ego and a temper tantrum and is actually forcing the CPC to try and kiss tush on the centre left supporters because of the lost votes. In the last election simple numbers show the CPC lost 7 seats, this time I am saying 25 seats lost to the Liberals because of PPC and the PPC getting 1 seat at best. Trudeau really needs to send Max a nice Christmas bonus, maybe a trip to the Agha Khan's island and some of the girls from the SNC scandal to rub Max's .... shoulders.
