Ontario Health workers letter to Ford

According to today's CTVNews report,the province plans to end all Covid protocols including masking and passports by March 2022. All thee anti-vaxers need to do is hang around until then and all the arguments will be moot. No doubt,the conspiracy theorists and chicken littles will find something else to occupy their minds.

The PPE they wear as part of their job and have worn from the beginning still protects them from patients who are admitted with the virus as it always has. I agree ... people should have a right to choose.
I too am concerned by what seems to be an autocratic leadership method just stating/forcing people to do things. It is not democracy at all.
If getting the vaccine is the right thing to do, then convince people via discussion and education.

I personally think getting the vaccine is the right choice ... but that's just to state my opinion on the matter. It does not trump the points I make above.

This is a dangerous precedent. To just point to the current laws and say "oh well" is no different than shrugging one's shoulders during slavery, Jim Crow laws, Holocaust, etc. These things were legal at the time, but that didn't make them just.

The whole "private companies can do whatever they want" thing is out of touch, especially in an era where many private companies pose more of a threat to us than the government does. Mass censorship and banning of people -- including a duly elected sitting president -- from the new public square (twitter, facebook, youtube, etc.) are huge social engineering problems.

The solution to just seek employment elsewhere is bogus because this is not a purely economic problem (and there is no such thing as pure economics anyways...economics is part of moral philosophy as I mentioned in the Capitalism thread). Everyone is coerced and pressured into doing something that doesn't even make sense in the first place. It's all empty political theatre.

Who's to say a company can't demand forced castration in order to thwart unwanted sexual advances towards an increasing female workforce? Or roll out a one child policy for staff? Or refuse service based on sexual orientation? Or demand additional private health information that does not pertain to the job? Or fire you based on your social credit score? Or restrict your movement based on bogus 'green' initiatives and personal CO2 emissions? And not just one weird company, but all of them? There won't be anywhere left to work.

Yes. And it's not just those in healthcare. Police, military, firefighters, teachers, trades...there are many who oppose the ridiculous draconian measures for a virus with a 99% survival rate. Look at the huge numbers at all the various marches and protests...and those are just the ones who aren't afraid of being visible and 'picking a side'. Many will confide to you in private that they strongly disagree but don't know what else to do.

Wait for the restrictions as we approach 2030 involving Zero emissions: No access to parking lots at Hospitals, Schools, no Drive-In theatres, or long term parking at the Airport unless you have an E-Car ...sound ridiculous ??

One thing for sure, it's not the same science that all those front line health care workers that are refusing the vax are using. Somehow he thinks he knows more than them lol. And as usual he never posts any facts to back up his silly retorts.

Funny all the Nurses I know had the vaccine long time ago.
