The Veteran... 6.5 yr old Buck...

Looks like a different buck in between the picks but same poppa genetics. Agree with Werner about the tines crossed and the big jump in length. Just compare the face mask between pics. The white around the nose is pointy in some, rounded in others. As well the white area above the nose is shorter in some and longer in others between the years.

I am going to have to disagree with you guys on this. The pictures range from September to November in different years, on different cameras. I have the sheds from this buck last year, as well as the year before and was lucky enough to harvest him this season. They are nearly identical in person. The brow tines definitely got longer this year bit his G2's shrunk a little bit so it makes the difference seem much greater. The left brow tine probably increased by 1.5". In 2011 the brow tines were the same as they were this year with the left side being longer. I have hundreds of trail cam pics of this buck over the last 5 years and I am 100% confident it is the same buck.

Bucks just like does have distinct face patterns. In your first three the whites around the nose point up like a triangle or arrow. Other picks are round and another long and square. When I see what comes into the taxidermist, or at butchers I can see the difference. Just like dark bodies, light bodies, browns, greys etc. I don't see the face pattern change through the year that drastically. I know of some bucks that I never catch on my trail cams but I do see, get pictures or through the binoculars. You can see the different bloodlines or dominant buck genes. Some just stay off the path of others. Just like I've seen scrapes where a buck goes to some but not to others and I'm talking within yards of each other. Your buck or bucks are great regardless.
