Wish I could argue the ugly part,, but that is life. thanks guys
Because you "need to have a good conversation about it" with Kathleen Wynne, seems to be the way she operates.
As others have pointed out, the motion was passed by the MPPs, so the real question now is why isn't the Minister of Transportation implementing the changes that his elected peers have voted in agreement on.
FYI. You are not allowed to ride two people on an ATV on the Haliburton ATV trails.
From Haliburton ATV Association Home Page:
Declaration on "Two Up" Riding
ATV's may be ridden "two up" on designated trails and private lands but not on roadways (highways) as defined under HTA Regulation #316. HATVA will allow "two up" atv riders provided they are using the designated trails. ATV's are responsible for their own actions and risk in situations where they might ride two up on roadways (highways) in breach of HTA #316 included forest access roads deemed to be defined as highways because of availability of public access by cars or trucks even though these roads may be open legally to atv's as defined or stated under HTA#316.
Thanks KMan. It looks like the regulations have changed in the last year. I inquired a couple of years ago and was told no two up riding. There are lots of people riding around Minden and Haliburton two up, and I just figured that they haden't been caught yet. This revision changes things a lot for me.... for the better. Thanks again.
In the last 3-4 years I've ridden the Haliburton trails there has never been a ban on two ups or side by sides.
