He didn't bargain on celebrities buying the dogs and touting them as some kind of superbreed. That's what really created the designer dog problem.
He's come out and said this before. He's pretty ticked off about what happened.
Can't say I blame him if he pulled it off the way he intended without it getting out of hand like it did. It's a good theory a service dog that doesn't leave fur all over for people to clean up.

Truthfully....I did the same in the late 70's early 80's.....traded a few nice ones...a Beauty Burst Les Paul and a Gibson SG....but who knew the vintage guitar market would be where its at today....heck, I would have bought a boatload of pre-war D-28's and 18"s back then.
