I have said it on this forum a hundred times,most police officers Know little to nothing about guns,period.The only guys who had a clue were guys on the range,SWAT teams,hunters,and lads off the farm.So in Toronto that would equal about 500 officers.The other 4,500
were able to pass and carry their Glocks and if you wanted you could qualify on a shotgun.But the general knowledge was very lacking and half the service could probably not pass the CFSC.IMHO.
As far as reporters are concerned enought said.

Pretty damn stupid to have some police in a Gun Crime Unit that can't ID a centerfire from a muzzleloader, that's assuming of course that they really give a crap and aren't just furthering the propaganda.

When did newspapers stop reporting news and become press release editors? There is absolutely nothing in the article that isn't taken verbatim from the press release with the exception of changing a few pronouns. I thought that was called plagiarism...
