So this dog peaked my interest. After a quick look yesterday while on my way to work decided to take a closer look today. Nice little Brittany however may not be as described. Seller is not the registered owner claims owner is his father in law who was not made available. Last vet check unknown last documentation seems 2011. Hunting ability well would not/ could not show off leash. Retrieval although enthusiastic and potentially soft mouth has a tendency to jump up which makes me question any professional training. Biggest red flag to me was when asked if the dog was not a good fit to its new home if I could return him in a day or 2. His response was that he wanted $150.00 for his time and inconvenience. I interpreted that as if you bring him home he's your problem now. Wasn't worth the gamble for me.
Paypal will refund the money.. If he used them.. Pay pal is very good at that. I use paypal only online.. As PayPal 9/10 will side with buyer.. I know a guy who had a complaint on him.. Paypal removed the money.. And sent it back to the buyer.. The seller had no choice..Quote:

Many assumptions have been made about my query to the guy about the dog. My couple of questions were to see if I could find anything about the dog and help a buddy out to see if it was worth while going down to Toronto to see the pup. Never was the intention to buy the dog sight unseen.

On paper went to see the dog with cash in hand. Could not verify any of the claims made by the seller who is not actually the registered owner of the dog. My sense is he wants the dog to go to a non hunting family however wants to recover cash by claiming hunting prowess.Quote:

I approached this as if it was for my self the seller didn't figure anything out he just did not have the answers. I would approach most things I am going to purchase from kijiji with the same approach, or anything I am going to purchase for that matter. The whole point of this was to warn anyone dealing with this ad that maybe it isn't all that it is cracked up to be. I told my friend that waiting for a dog he wants is probably better as I wouldn't deal with this character. A rescued dog would have been maybe the route if the situation was closer to ideal.
