Awesome pictures! Everyone should be so lucky to have their children want to spend time with dad and mom in the woods, my oldest (3) is hunting obessed (comes by it honestly) and from that, mom started tagging along as she want's to spend time with him to. Here's hoping our youngest (3 months) catches the bug to!Quote:

In regards to your youngest, start them early as possible and the "bug" will come naturally. It's important that they don't get negative feed back about hunting at that age because from what I saw, it could effect them later on. Teach them the conservation aspect of the sport.

My daughter is 8 she shoots her bow weekly (Bear Apprentice) she's watched me shoot Turkeys and sat in a double stand and a ground blind on deer hunts
she loves watching hunting shows specially the ones with "pretty girls" ie. Tiffany Latousky and Eva Shockey she likes the fact you can be beautiful and hunt too.
she has plans to go for her apprenticeship as soon as she's 12 and make her first harvest that fall

Funny you mention that. I just had a conversation with buddies wife about hunting alone. She said she would never hunt alone in case she got lost. I told her that if she ever got lost while by herself,all she needed to do was peel off every stitch of clothing and stretch out butt naked. Guaranteed there would be a couple of guys show up within minutes. She wouldn't be lost anymore.Quote:

Both my daughters were introduced to the Outdoors young. Both love it. My eldest (the Tom boy) has no interest in hunting, she is the nature lover and while she loves eating anything, she herself at this point in her life, couldnt do it.
My youngest is a typical girly girl. She's into makeup, clothing, malls, competitive gymnastics, dance and cheer. She wants to gt her PAL and come hunting with me. I'd love nothing more.

I didn't know the noun Hunter was specifically male. In fact, all of the dictionaries I have looked at describes the term Hunter as a person who hunts. None of the dictionaries denote a hunter as a male or hunting as a male activity. Looking at the animal kingdom, females of predator species take part in hunting with some species (lions) the females do the majority of the hunting.
With that out of the way, I am glad more and more females are deciding to persue hunting for a number of reasons. One, the more voices in support of hunting is always a good thing. Two, having females hunters onboard will hopefully soften the non-hunting public's image of hunting of macho he-men who simply want to go out and shoot as many animals as we can and get them on our side when it comes to hunting issues. Three, fathers spending more time with their daughters passing down their hunting passion is a good thing.
