I recieved an invite and a flyer. They broke the bank with the grand opening deals! [sic] I'll save the gas for a fishing trip.
Got a pass from person I know who works there for July 7th employee discount looking forward to it
Cabelas is a great store but they have always been priced on the high side but worth checking out if I am up that way. However sail is 5 minutes from my house. The sb2 is priced right in their flyer and the blind for 99 looks like a great deal.
Here's the flyer.

I can hardly wait till the day after, for all the post of how disappointed they are in the store :)
......since when did men become so enthralled with 'shopping' ?
Around the time I was first given an allowance and would walk 8 blocks to the Canadian Tire and spend hours looking at the lures.
LOL. I hate to sound pessimistic but I'm afraid that's the way these things inevitably end up. It won't be long until people start complaining about lack of good deals, lack of stock, lack of knowledgeable staff, poor service etc.. I hope I'm wrong but I've got the feeling that's the way it will end up, just like Bass Pro. I'm not overly excited mainly because I've been hunting for a long time and I really have everything I need. I really only shop if something breaks or wears out. Having said that we probably will stop in on the way north this August just to look around.
In the two Cabellas in Edmonton, you pick up a basket, walk the isles and stock up on any bullets you need. No escorts, no little bags with locks, no I have to see your card first, no writing anything in a book, etc.. It is the same as picking up groceries, the shelves are stocked. Just wondering how they will handle it in Ontario.
As someone who drives 30 minutes to EPPS or 40 minutes to Sail/BPS, I'm glad to have another choice right in the city I live in.
