No coincidence that's for sure. Not sure it could be any more obvious why he has a female team.
Regardless, of what she may think is in it for her and there are no gaurantee's it will go her way, it could ruin her to. As a guy, I find it hard to fathom how she could. Just thinking, imagining myself as a female, being privy to details, formulating a defense case, having to look at him, and not let thoughts run through ones mind.
I've always wondered how defense lawyers can for example defend some of the worst murderers, child molesters etc. I imagine for a female defense lawyer, Ghomeshi has to rank up there.

I once asked a very learned former Ontario Chief Justice how lawyers got it straight in their minds defending people charged with horrendous crimes that they knew were guilty as sin. He wisely told me that it wasn't the lawyers job to establish guilt or innocence,but,to test the Crowns evidence for accuracy and integrity and to ensure the accused defense was well represented before the Bar. Just because someone has been charged doesn't necessarily mean that they're guilty.
And just because someone is acquitted doesn't mean that they are innocent. If you did it, you did it. I don't give a shyte about whether the cop crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's in his report. I don't care that you feel that you were racially profiled when you were pulled over at 2:00 in the morning in an area known for criminal activity. I don't care about how bad your teenage years were.
