Rotten old bag is all I see.
KMG Hunting Safaris from South Africa was at the show. We had a nice Zebra mount at the show that attracted a lot of attention, some of it obviously negative. Some quick facts as it appears articles get written without research, (even though as the representative of KMG Hunting Safaris in Canada, I did give a radio interview stating the facts). During the 1960's there existed only approximately 250,000 head of game in South Africa. The first professional safaris commenced at this time and today the game count is approximately 18.6 million. Where there once was cattle there are now multiple game species. Why? Hunters dollars. The game now has value and if it pays it stays, so thanks to conservation through hunting South Africa now looks the way it used to:) So be proud of our hunting heritage wherever it may take us around the world. The large increase in game also equates to opportunity for hunters from all around the world including Canada where it is now possible for 2 person safaris with four animals included for about 5500? As for the sweat shops ... the only sweating you will do in South Africa is hopefully when that trophy of a lifetime steps out in front of you. Many thanks to all who have shown their support for hunting on this site.
This is the email I sent this idiotic MPP. I suggest everybody flood her inbox with their views.
"The next time you choose to comment on sport hunting you would look like less of an imbecile if you actually researched the laws and traditions both here and in Africa. Your comments are why people find the NDP amusing at best but mostly irrelevant."

Dythbringer, in answer to the meat question, we actually feed some to the hunters in camp, some goes to our camp staff (locals) anything left over is sold into the market. Game meat there is available in the market as much as beef and chicken is available in our markets.
Terrym, did she respond? I sent her some info with links to some supporting sites for conservation, nothing heard....
Between KMG and Mafigeni Safaris, I thought both had very professional booths, and courteous staff in attendance.
Yet another case where an "anti", with very little background feels the need to pipe up and be heard.
Mafigeni had two pamphlets available, one for camera safaris, the other for hunting. The camera pamphlet, did in fact have giraffe on it, but I'm sure the NDP MPP didn't bother stifling her moral outrage long enough to actually read the literature.
