Someone invading your privacy or interfering with your hunt does not permit you to vandalize their property. That seems to be lost on a lot of people here.

Canadian courts are very anti-vigilante, and if you even dare suggest that they should in your defense, well good luck with that, but you're going to get screwed badly.

Replace the drone with someone's vehicle in your "revenge thoughts" and ask if they still make sense. A guy comes into your driveway and starts looking around and you feel your privacy is being violated - are you going to shoot his car, not likely. A lot of stupidity being tossed around in this thread.

Vandalism and destruction of private property in a public location.... they would probably add other items if they can like unsafe use of a firearm or whatever they can and you might get your firearms back in 2 or 3 years... if you win after the trial and lawyer fees. Even the lude behaviour of the original poster could be charged if the police felt it was fitting. Someone probably thought they could get a nice picture of someone fishing and instead found a pervert.

Yup, they found a pervert alright. Vandalism or not, if you feel it's fun to fly up to strangers with a cam and record them for some strange reason, expect it to be landing in the water, or backyard.

I have no problems, I've been photographed many times fishing and had someone with quite a fancy setup video taping me fishing down south a few years back, unfortunately I lost their contact. Walk into any bank, Tim Horton's store... heck even walk by them and your picture is taken thousands of times a week... or was it something illegal you were doing?

But I am glad you recognize yourself for what you are, too bad you don't have an aversion to other criminal behaviour. My bet is that if someone didn't like you fishing by their cottage and setup something to damage your motor or snag your gear you would be crying and whining.... but if you do do vandalism to it, no problem... for me, it is you committing the crime and I am sure I can find a lawyer or judge and afterward be able to afford a Lily Camera or Phantom to replace it.

I wouldn't shoot anything in my neighborhood. You can bet dimes to doughnuts though if you were in front of my house taking pictures of the inside of my house.......we'd have serious issues. And yes, I'd take the charge.
