Sorry to hear that. My lab is only 3 but I am very attached to her. She can read my mind kind of close.

It certainly is hard to forget your dog when it gave you so much to remember. Mine did so last winter but got a pup though.
Very sorry for your loss, I've been there and about the only thing that brought me comfort was that while your dog was alive you were their companion as well. All good dogs leave us too soon, but while she was here you gave her a great life.
Every time I read about someone losing their dog, the pit just falls out of my stomach.
They are more than just a dog to us. Their love in unequivocal, and pure.
It never is easy, and I'm saddened for your loss.
It's so very hard to lose a young dog in such a sudden way. Condolences to your family. Years later, I still think of a special dog who died too young. Regards, marysburg.
Thank you all for your kind words. Her age made it extremely hard and the fact that we always restricted her jumping and eating specifically because we had read it was common in dachshunds.
