Thanks BoD.
Normally it's really hard to gauge the size of something without a good reference beside it. Wide angle lenses are very deceiving. On the extreme side of things fish shot in grip and grins appear much larger than they are, and the further away from the lens, the smaller they make things appear. In reality its not that the fish is made to look larger, everything behind the fish (the angler) is smaller so the scale deceives our eyes. Extreme example is a vista of mountains. If you take such a picture then look at the image on your display the mountains appear smaller/farther away than they are.
Because the camera is fixed, the variable, or unknown is: How far is the subject (unknown animal) from the lens, the further it is, the smaller it will be. That said if you draw a straight and level line from the top of the apples across to it.
I took the other photo and enhanced it as much as I dared. I don't think it is very large. Mature Cougars can get up 8-9 feet in length. Most are around 5. For height somewhere around 2-3 feet.
Against the buck it simply looks too small for a Cougar and against the Coons in front of it, twice as large so.
Heres the other image.
I think we can rule out dog unless its some kind of Pug or other snub nosed dog with a long dark tail. That said, the face almost looks bear like ( you have to blown it up as I can here at home) and the ears don't seem quite right for a Cougar either (too tall and pointed).

Honestly if there was any kind of snout evident Id say large fox (very large)
. But who knows the pic quality is what it is maybe its a juvenile, or possible some farm cat on steroids or Macoun (they can be 40 pounds) :)
Dirty ol feral cat, no?

Picture of Bobcat at our bait barrel back in 2014. We never see them in our area. My friends in Pennsylvania US. See them all the time run them with hounds etc.

Even a juvenile cougar would be well above Trump's knees at this time of year.
