Wild Boar Hunting ...in Ontario

I have to agree they are great eating, but don't think we need them up here to destroy our farm land. They are also very dangerous to people as well. My director who lives in Texas has told me about being caused up a tree by them while bird hunting. Waited several hours for them to leave. Got out of the tree and headed for truck. Didn't get far and they were after him. Just made it back to the truck. No we don't need anything that is that aggressive.

They are here and have been for a few years.

If you could look at this site a couple years back you would see that they are expanding.

I'll second that line of thought, even though I enjoy going out for coyotes, I would sooner hunt something that is tasty.

In some areas of Ontario the pigs would need to build a brick house to be safe at night.

As a farmer I would hate to see wild boars here. More crop damage than a coon
So many in Texas that they hunt them from helicopters with automatic weapons. They are supposed to be dangerous and difficult to hunt.

The number of hunters in favour of introducing a destructive, ecologically disruptive invasive species ought to put paid once and for all to the bankrupt notion that hunters are our true conservationists.

The idea of introducing an invasive species to our area is completely ridiculous.
The fact that some of you are supporting this notion leaves me at a complete loss.
No, we don't need more invasive species in Ontario.
If you aren't happy with what you can hunt here, than go somewhere else.
Don't destroy our agricultural so you have something fun to shoot.
Think about it.....
