Think the best thing that they could do is go without a leader. In the past the leader was their undoing. Going forth as a party instead of an individual forces people to look at the issues.
Always believed a sign of a poor government when it comes down to not being able to defend their position and can't attack their opponents position than the only way to win is attack their character so why give the a bullseye.
Agreed Trimmer, Gun Laws are Fed, however under our plan for the Provincial Party, were are going to remove the powers of the OMB, MPAC and Conservation Authorities to enter into private property, unless invited or WITH a judges order. No longer will private property owners be powerless under our government. Private property rights will be respected. OMB, MPAC derive their powers from the province, it is though those powers that they can raise taxes. By allowing these powers to exist, it also allows your municipal council to blame other levels of government for tax increases. It is this plan that removes those powers, that way all local decisions/taxes/rate increases are squarely on the councillor that represents you.
We believe this will make local government more accountable.
Plus we will remove the sliding rate of Land Transfer title Tax to a flat fee of $275.00. This includes PLTT in GTA, this policy alone will save home buyers thousands of dollars in interest, as most mortgage these costs. Not many can afford those closing costs up front. MPAC takes in almost 300,000,000 million a year (thru LTT, PLTT), more than 2/3 of those funds go into general revenues, and is nothing more than a punitive tax on home buyers. It is an organization that survives off the misfortune of home buyers needlessly.
