They've had Yonge from Finch to Sheppard closed since the attack, and it looks like they're starting to clean. They're not taking any changes, it looks like -- they're going to decontaminate the whole stretch. I guess that makes sense -- there are a lot of people who could come in contact with anything there.

Yes. I am agreeing with you. Perhaps my posts hasn't conveyed that.

So far 10 people have died and 15 people have been injured to various degrees. While we can't do anything for the 10 who are gone, we can do something for the survivors. If you can, I urge everyone here to go donate some blood (if you don't already). The people who survived will need surgeries to help them recover and the blood we donate could go towards them and even if our blood doesn't, then it will help someone who needs it.

Not at all! I'm just chiming in with my agreement.

No more so than saying, ' can't blame the van'.

The easiest thing most people can do to help has been suggested .... I've done it several times over the years, I missed my local one two weeks ago actually but had already looked up date of the next one. Suggest you drink lots of water or juice before hand, not tight rope walking for a few days (or activities where balance may be an issue due to change in blood volume) and lay back and bleed... the person with the needle has probably done it lots and just a little poke and soon you will likely just be bored for a bit but it will help.

Makes you wonder if they increased training after the street car incident. Keep the suspect contained, make sure the public and officers are safe and deescalate, perfect.

There were no firearms involved in this attack -- I don't know why anyone would try and push the firearms agenda ahead not even 24 hours after a tragedy like this. It seems callous and selfish to be honest. If you want to go talk politics, there's a whole forum for that.

It seems like this guy had no record, SEEMS to have had mental issues (given his attempt at suicide by cop and they were likely undiagnosed) and no one has been told any motive yet....

There have been some ignorant and stupid comments but a registry.... it ranks in the most ignorant category of those I have seen so far with the only one more mentally/morally insulting was a comment about a good guy with a van...

If there are restrictions on rentals, people can still borrow or steal vehicles, he notes.

P.S.
The video of the take down showed an excellent policeman making a brave decision given his actions and just how clueless some people can be to their surroundings... a guy yelling he has a gun, policeman with handgun drawn and 3 people just walking along clueless.
