The wife and I are going to explore other providers over the holidays. We get hosed here in Canada for internet and phones because of no competition from CRTC. Even the FIDO's and Freedoms plans are owned by the Big Three. Both my wife and I need extended coverage when traveling, instead of paying for "out of area" roaming charges as with Freedom and Wind. Our daughter has one month left on contract and we going to move her Freedom ($50.00), as it has unlimited data (which is not true, they throttle you down at certain limits = false advertising). When we travel we will just enable the "only service provider", to make sure we don't incur extra charges.
Customer retention does work and we use it often, but really the problem is no competition in Canada. The CRTC must go.
