We use to have hunters and more importantly hunting dollar revenue come in from this, which keeps the very land that the game animals are on from becoming farm land. As for the meat, it isn't my favourite to eat ill give you that (personal preference only, give me bushbuck/impala anyday) but rest assured it sells quickly to market and never goes wasted. Giraffe that are in an area that allows hunting are wary and you will have to pay attention to the wind and your approach if you want to get close enough. Of course any animal in a park (goose included) isn't hunting in my book either.
