I agree that Scheer needed to do better, his opening salvo didn’t come anywhere near answering the question that was asked and made him look dumb.
I’m a conservative voter but Singh seems like a guy I could have a beer with. When he starts talking about big corporations having too much power I can agree with him. He loses me with spending talk.
No mention of the military or Canada’s place in the world either, I guess they realize that our stature is somewhat lessened of late.
I don't know who these so-called debates are targeting with an expectation of helping someone make a decision on any particular party. There's nothing in the world that could make me vote liberal or NDP no matter how dismal the PC leader came across--with the exception of a Brian Mulroney. Which means that Lib or NDP supporters will take the same stance for their party.
They're really targeting no one. They're trying burn up the $680M "gift" the Liberals gave the media for "favorable reviews" and to combat "fake news".. The Liberal MSM propaganda machine will make sure they suck up every nickel of it,too.Quote:

Anyhow, I figured what Scheer's issue is ... he just isn't passionate like Singh and May. If he spoke with the same conviction, he means good, but there's always going to be trust issues if you aren't engaging passionately.
Also, I don't get why Scheer keeps allowing himself to get kicked with respects to the SNC scandal. Block and Liberals are saying it's about saving 3400 innocent jobs. First of all, that's pure BS. Anyone who leaves SNC has a job somewhere else. Our company is hiring several people that chose to leave SNC. We are winning work, Canadian companies are still engaged in these international assignments. It's an insult to the Canadian Engineering industry to insinuate that SNC was the only good engineering company here ... there are PLENTY of good companies in this Country that are easily picking up these pieces ... no one is out of work, or losing opportunities to foreign companies.
Second, we cannot turn a blind eye to corruption. It's all downhill from here, if we do. Many companies cannot by policy provide work to companies that have corruption charges. If the Canadian government lowers the standard, and allows certain companies a "get out of jail card" ... well, then the integrity of our entire system comes into question ... and it could mean that even clean companies are not able to seek opportunities in the international stage.
